FPV Battery: Types, The designations and voltage tables are 1s -8s 12.08.2025 – Posted in: Useful

We explain, what mean the designation s, P and C on FPV batteries, How different LIPO, LihH said liа yours, and how to handle batteries in practice. Below are separate voltage tables for each type, 1s to 8s: Full charging, storage, par, minimum.

What is s, P and c

  • S (Series) - Number of jars, connected in series. The larger s - the higher the battery voltage.
    For example: 4S = 4 Banks × ~ 3.7v ≈ 14.8V.
  • P (Parallel) - the number of parallel branches. It depends on the total capacity and permissible load on the current.
Example: 4S2P - two groups on 4 Banks, in parallel.
  • C (C-rate) - discharge factor. Defines, What is the maximum current (In ampere) can issue a battery.
    Formula: C × ємність (у Ah) = максимальний струм (A)
    For example: 1300 Mage × 75 C = 1.3 × 75 = 97.5 A

Types of battery

LiPo (lithium-polymer)

  • Par: 3.7 In/bank
  • Full charging: 4.20 IN
  • Storage: 3.80 IN
  • Minimum: 3.00 IN
  • Work with high currents, Standard for FPV-oka

Grind (High Voltage LiPo)

  • Par: 3.8 IN
  • Full charging: 4.35 IN
  • Storage: 3.85 IN
  • Minimum: 3.00 IN
  • Give a little more tension and thrust, But they are degraded faster

Li-ion (18650, 21700)

  • Par: 3.6–3.7v
  • Full charging: 4.20 IN
  • Storage: 3.70–3.75v
  • Minimum: 2.5–3.0v
  • Higher energy intensity, but limited output of current. Ideal for Long Range

How to use batteries correctly

  • Use Balance charger, Especially for lipo/lihv
  • Store batteries at ~ 3.8 in/bank (or 3.7–3.75 in for li-ion)
  • Do not overdose: 4.2 B - maximum for lipo / Li-ion
  • Do not discharge deeply : Do not fall below 3.0 IN (or 2.5 In for Li-Ion)
  • Land at 3.5–3.6 in/bank - Below will be a sharp subside and wear
  • Do not keep fully charged for more than 24–36 hours
  • Transport refractory: Lipo not like overheating

What is it all for

Knowledge of tension, Types and modes of operation of batteries allows:

  • Avoid batteries and degradation of batteries
  • Land in time without feed failures
  • customize BetafLight/Inav with correct LVC
  • choose the right acum under the task: race, freestyle, Long Range or Shooting
